Values

  1. We worship God. We love Jesus and therefore obey Him.
  2. God is more important than any earthly possessions such as wealth, achievements, etc.
  3. Don’t use the name of God without thinking of Him.
  4. Six days we must work and play but the seventh day we must reserve as a special service to God.
  5. We am obedient towards my parents, teachers and all authority that God has put above me, such as leaders, class leaders and the scholar patrol.
  6. My actions, deeds and thoughts may not harm anyone because we want to respect life which God has created.
  7. We are loyal towards my family.
  8. We may not steal because we grant our fellow men all that God has given him/her. Therefore, we respect everything that does not belong to us.
  9. We always speak the truth. We do not allow our desires to control our lives and we are satisfied with what we have, because we are special to God.

History

Laerskool Dennesig’s foundation was laid in 1985, marking the beginning of an important chapter in the school’s history. On 19 September 1986, it officially opened its doors to around 500 learners, offering education from Grade 1 to Grade 7.

Under the dedicated leadership of its first principal, Mr. Steve Wagenaar, the school quickly grew into a place of learning, growth, and community.

Transformation took place in 2023. Currently we are 593 learners.
